Nuclear Applications

RdF sensors for nuclear applications are designed and manufactured to comply with the stringent requirements of the applicable nuclear regulatory agencies. Sensors for measurement of coolant and core temperatures within reactor containment buildings have been provided for installation into more than thirty power plants throughout the world.

  
 
RdF Sensors for Nuclear Application


The RdF power plant sensors have been qualified for nuclear service by Westinghouse Electric Corporation, and by Atomic Energy of Canada Limited.

RdF Sensors are found in long term and new plant and fuel storage applications worldwide.

Applications:

Class 1 coolant and core temperatures within reactor containment.
Class 2 environments.
Electro-mechanical apparatus

 Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTD)
 Thermocouple probes and surface mounts
 Thermistor probe assemblies
 Windshield Sensors
 FAA-PMA, approved for use on turbine engines.
